• The Gift

    The Gift

A seed of love and grace,
    Nestled in the heart’s soil,
    Dwells within the thought’s spirit,
    Yearning to unfurl.

    Action’s birth,
    A tender sprout,
    Like a stone
    Cast into a pond,
    Ripples expanding,
    Touching distant shores.

    The gift returns,
    Love and grace multiplied,
In the wake of mindful deeds

  • Control

    Control

    Control over a person
    Takes many forms:
    Thoughts, emotions, movements,
    Environment, habits,
    The pace of a relationship,
    A group, an organization,
    Natural resources,
    The wealth of a nation—
    The list goes on.
    And on.

    A relationship
    Bound by authority
    Cannot breathe,
    Cannot thrive.

    Wisdom lies in respect
    For the other.
    Control is rooted
    In disregard.

    Those who seek
    To control others
    Reveal their emptiness—
    Lacking meaning,
    Trapped in their own
    Prison of dominance.

    But those who love,
    Who feel empathy,
    Who offer kindness—
    They experience life,
    They create and become.
    For them, freedom
    Is the wellspring of meaning.

    We live in what we
    Create for others.

    But how do we embrace
    Our abundance?
    The abundance of rights
    And freedoms—
    Individual, collective,
    In harmony—
    The rights of our earth,
    Above and below.

    The freedom to express
    And…

    We see, hear, and feel
    Peace in its beauty—
    And its horrors
    In the chaos of survival.

    One lives fully,
    The other clings
    To survival.

    We do not live
    Our abundance together.
    Why?

  • Yield

    Yield

    To learn, we must yield,
Like a river bending to stone.
Slow down to sense and feel,
    The world’s heartbeat, nature’s own.
    Experience unfolds in stillness,
A flower opening to dawn’s light.

    Love, wisdom, and light
Flow to gift and reveal meaning,
In the gentle current of being.

    Speed is a distraction,
    A chaotic haze,
    Blurring senses,
    Deepening shadows.
    A rapids, churning and blind.

But in the slow and simple lane,
    Beautiful life awakens, free.
    Dewdrops on grass, bird’s melody,
A world of wonder we rarely see.

    Like a river’s patient flow,
Wisdom carves its gentle path below.
Through canyon deep and valley wide,
    In stillness, truth cannot hide.

In the rush, we lose our soul.
In stillness, we are found and made whole.
The river finds its way to sea,
As we find our true identity.

    In quiet, discover your way,
    And reveal your spark.
Listen to the whisper of leaves,
    The silence between heartbeats.

If you want to live happy and free,
    Live quietly, wild and carefree.
A paradox of peace and zest,
In yielding, find your spirit’s best.

What whispers did you hear today?
In silence, what did you say?
As you yield to life’s gentle flow,
What truths did stillness help you know?

  • I To I – One in Two

    I To I – One in Two

    If splitting the atom
    Is an atomic bomb,
    Then imagine what splitting
    The quarks will produce.

    Imagine we are able
    To see beyond.
    Imagine we can
    Witness deeper.

    We would reach
    The splitting of the
    Big Bang.

    That particle and seed
    Was split.
    Is the question by whom?
    Or how?

    Maybe it is natural
    Behavior.
    Splits to connect.
    Inhale, exhale.

  • In Giving, In Relationship

    In Giving, In Relationship

    It’s been said before,
    “Do unto others,
    As you would have them
    Do unto you.”

    How do we interact
    With our inner selves?
To what depths do we reach?

    Whatever you offer others,
You must nurture in yourself first,
    Lest your wellspring run dry.

    To be kind
    Is to cultivate love within.
    If you dwell on I,
    You lose sight of We.
    And no I is
    Without the embrace
    Of the We.

    The kindness in giving
    Is a radiant energy,
    A resonance and a pulse.
    Giving of ourselves
    Ignites friction.
    Friction births a spark.
    Collision unveils new beginnings.

    A single spark
    Illuminates eternity.

  • Listen and Ask

    Listen and Ask

    I do not wish
To fill the enigma of my brain
    With meaningless information.
    I do wish
To fill the space in my mind
    With meaningful knowledge.

    If I’m interested,
    I’ll listen
    And ask questions.
    If I’m not interested,
    I neither listen
    Nor inquire.

    I value knowledge
    Over mere information.
    I value meaning.

    And if I speak,
    It is after listening
    With grace.

  • Doors

    Doors

    If there are many doors,
    not closed yet,
    then how can you,
    enter through
    a new door,
    and see the
    new horizon?
