  • You Can’t Lose What Is True

You Can’t Lose What Is True

    You can’t lose
    What is true.
    You can’t lose
    What is authentic.

    You can not lose love.
    You can not lose friendship.
    You can not lose kindness.
If it’s true, it shines back,
    A beacon in the dark.

    Freedom is an accepting
    Connection between two.
Both are allowed to be themselves,
    When both accommodate growth.
A dance of give and take,
    A symphony of shared space.

    Two together.
    Be curious, learn.
    Avoid the harmful.
    Quench the fruitful,
    The uplifting towards the light,
    And the motivating to illuminate.
    In this garden of togetherness,
    We grow towards the sun.

    Save, hold back
    Shrink the comfortable
    Space to be,
    And you lose.
    For true connection
    Needs room to breathe.

    To love
    Is to give of
    The love within,
    For self.
    Love between two,
    Is love in
    The space between.
    A bridge of light
    Connecting heart to heart.

    Authenticity,
    A reflection of the soul.
    Be vulnerable,
    Reveal, don’t hide
    The true meaning.
    See the soul,
    In yourself and others.
For in this nakedness of spirit,
    We find our truest selves.

In the mirror of authentic connection,
    We lose only our illusions,
    And gain the world.

  • Conversation Are Like

    Conversation Are Like

    Playing catch.
    A ball is thrown,
    Soft lob or fastball spin,
    A movement is
    The response.

    Backwards, forwards
    Or a jiggle,
    A hesitation, then a leap.
    Hands ready, minds alert,
    To catch the meaning flung.

    Then a ball
    Is thrown again…
    A quip, a question, a musing thought.
    The game goes on,
    This dance of minds,
    In volleys of vocabulary.

  • In Giving, In Relationship

    In Giving, In Relationship

    It’s been said before,
    “Do unto others,
    As you would have them
    Do unto you.”

    How do we interact
    With our inner selves?
To what depths do we reach?

    Whatever you offer others,
You must nurture in yourself first,
    Lest your wellspring run dry.

    To be kind
    Is to cultivate love within.
    If you dwell on I,
    You lose sight of We.
    And no I is
    Without the embrace
    Of the We.

    The kindness in giving
    Is a radiant energy,
    A resonance and a pulse.
    Giving of ourselves
    Ignites friction.
    Friction births a spark.
    Collision unveils new beginnings.

    A single spark
    Illuminates eternity.

  • Calling You

    Calling You

    I am calling you
    To a life well remembered
    Yet strangely forgotten

    I am calling you
    To dive within your depths
    And soar among the stars

    I am calling you
    To feel the world’s pulse
    And ignore its clamor

    I am calling you
    To listen to the silence
    And hear your truest self

    I am calling you
    To surrender your doubts
    And connect with the infinite

    I am calling you
    To a consciousness unexplained
    A dream within illusion

    I am calling you
    To wield your imagination
    Unaware of its boundless power

    I am calling you
    To witness a beauty
    No lens can capture

    I am calling you
    To hear a melody
    No instrument can play

    I am calling you
To the physics of the intangible
    Where solid matter dissolves

    I am calling you
To the death of old beliefs
And the birth of new wisdom

    I am calling you
To answer with your entire being
    To this timeless, formless summons

  • Dancing With the Universe

    Dancing With the Universe

    Life waits for us,
    A starry-clad wild dancer-
    Shall we refuse this call,
Or shall we take its hold?
    Do we want to be
    A complaining gray mouse,
    Or would it make sense
To join in on the heavenly dance
    Of floor,
That is not resplendent like other stars?

Those who dare tango with existence,
    Find themselves swept away
    Into a grand love affair,
    Where trust blossoms
    Like a supernova,
That destroys all illusions of being,
    Separate entities from each other.

    Because every breath
    we breathe out,
    Is a message of love.
    While every single occasion
    Remembered
    Not in order only,
    But rather forever.

    On the mountains of today,
    Lie the possibilities
    Of tomorrow.
    For who knows where
    They may send us
Into some unexplored part of being?
As life who loves us passionately,
Whirls us in and out of galaxies
That are made up of holy moments,
    We are shown fresh constellations
    Of wonder in each revolution.

    Instead,
    This means to dance
    With the universe
Is an acceptance of its music,
    Even if sometimes
    It becomes disharmonious
    To our ears.
    It means getting rid
    Of heavy armor
    Against all that we would.
    Instead,
    Embark into espousing
    Light gowns that
    Is acceptance.

    Within this cosmic ballet,
    We are student and creator,
    Learning steps undreamed before,
    Now interweaving patterns
More delicate than we had imagined.

    And so,
As the sun spins around through space,
Take another spin around that star.
    Realize how much it is
That we share with this life,
    For once there would be
    Nothing else
    But its pure essence
    When at last –
Without any thought or effort at all –
    We become what we have
    Always been in our hearts:
    Simply dancing.

  • Just Wandering

    Just Wandering

    Have you ever felt
    As if you are standing
    In your own space
    With your hands open
    And every person you encounter
    Tattoos you,
    Writes on you
    With permanent ink
    Before moving on?

    The marks glow
    With a stained-glass-like luster;
    They form an intricately
    Beautiful pattern
    Made out of memories
    And accidental encounters.
    Some run very deep;
    Others just scratch the surface;
    Nevertheless each one
    Does stay
    In its own way
    However, faint it might be.

Would you want to look at yourself?
Can you see yourself beneath these marks?

    In the looking glass,
    There’s a kaleidoscope of reflections
    Looking back at me
    A live screen
    On which countless stories appear.
    But beneath all these;
I feel a heartbeat pounding constantly,
    A central self-crying out
    For recognition…

I feel as if I am losing myself
    Within these entwining paths
    A life’s true maze.
    Which scars deserve
    Our appreciation
And which ones should be forgotten?
It could be that this decision
    Symbolizes the very essence
    Of the soul.

    Just
    Wandering.

  • Today’s Greetings

    Today’s Greetings

    With open hearts,
I greet the welcome words of today.

In each face sincerity and genuineness,
In each heart trust and confidence,
In each word truth and love,
In each act of kindness and gift,
In every message and word of today’s greetings.

    The warmth of every smile
    Is like a morning sun
    Lighting up humanity’s common path.
    An understanding slight nod head
Expression of love at first sight
    That had gone through hardships
A gentle voice devoid of judgment

Strength of a handshake during today’s greetings
Comfort of an embrace as part of today’s greetings
Tomorrow’s hope lights up my smile

    With arms wide open
    I welcome today’s greetings

  • Breath Exchange

    Breath Exchange

    We breathe in
    From nose up
    To our mind,
    And we exhale down,
    An offering from mouth
    To earth’s trees.

    A very simple
    beautiful cycle.
    Delicate and vital.
    One couldn’t exist,
    If the other falls.

    Earth provides the atmosphere,
    We replenish it,
    The balance is clear.
    This Earth, a home,
    Not ours to drain,
    To plunder for profit,
    For wealth and greed.
    The chasm between
    The rich and the poor.

    Though all share
    The same air to produce.
    One atmosphere,
    Enveloping all.
    A borrowed breath,
    A life returned,
    In this resonant rhythm,
    We are bound,
    A reciprocal breath,
    Sustains all life.

  • Empathy’s Weight

    Empathy’s Weight

    I can feel your pain,
    Whispered in my bones.
    Your struggles are now mine,
An unmentioned burden that I bear silently.

    Every story told to me,
    Every tear I see shed,
    My heart is weighted down,
    A storehouse of sorrows.

    As understanding deepens,
    So does sadness grow.
    It is a strange bond:
The nearer I get, the more I hurt.

Yet, through this hurt comes a revelation:
    Life does not issue blame,
    Only learning etched into experience.

    We stumble and we fall
    And then stand up again
    Every mistake is a teacher
    Each sorrow is our guide

No villains, they say in the allegory of human experience
    There are only students
    There is no failing again

    But if I must bear
The load of a thousand lives
    For I can endure knowing:
This is a school where we are all pupils
This is school where all of us are learners
But let me tell you something –
This place is a memorable and beautiful college
