inner light

  • I Dream

    I Dream

    Like a book written
    in a forgotten tongueโ€”
    misunderstanding denies.

    I count many tales
    on my hand.
    And I lay every night
    on a pillow
    of flame and tears.

Yet I believe in the light
    within every heart,
    a spark so small
    it may seem invisible,
    yet strong enough
    to illuminate the darkest night.

    I believe in dreams
    whispered into the stars,
carried by the winds of hope,
    and returned to us
    as the gentle reminder
    that all things are possible.

    And I dream of mornings
    yet to come,
    of the sunlight
    that warms our faces,
    and of the gentle truth
    that even the longest winters
    give way to spring.

    I gift you
    my spring.

  • Be a Poem

    Be a Poem

Be the ink on the page that twirls and dances,
    Depicting sublime concepts in words.
Be the metered pulsation, point, and rhythm’s fluctuation.
Let the muse guide ideas through poetry’s maze.

Be the metaphor that reveals the essence,
    Interwoven layers of meaning.
Be the imagination that ignites an inner sense,
Transforming abstractions into images that soar aloft.

Be raw emotions on the lines,
Joy with sorrow, passion in between.
Whisper too, and let some soulful cry be fine,
    Musical language, beautifully designed.

When people are most dejected, be their light,
Directing lost ships: in darkness show
The warm glow of lighthouses for those who wander at night,
A gentle morning breeze caressing softly as thoughts flow.

Let your voice be piercing yet gentle like any poet’s,
A beacon through the mundane veil.
Be always stanzas that never grow old,
Their value known regardless of time’s tale.

    Be the poem
That is reborn with each new reading’s breath.
    Make wonder-miracles, create verses that
Defy death in triumph and break the silence.

  • Let There Be Light

    Let There Be Light

    Light comes in,
    And shadows go away,
    Not vanquished,
    But veiled.

    As with concealed memories
Waiting out there at the edge
    Of consciousness.
    Darkness makes its spooky mark,
A palimpsest on the fabric of space.

    Yet light could obliterate,
    However,
    The trace remains,
    A black relief.

    As brightness increases,
    Shadows disappear.
Our form appears to rise, unraveled.
    The more luminous we become,
    The lighter we weigh,
    Through lightโ€™s caress matter ends.

    In this equilibrium
    Between seen and unseen,
Light wipes off what is hidden beneath it.
    But then,
There is a trick you can do with your fingers:
    Press it.

    Make it brighter
Or darker, thatโ€™s up to you
    The decision is yours
But itโ€™s something thatโ€™s not often known.
In warm bright or cold dark contact
Your core discovers how to go down or stay up.
