inner truth

  • What We Allow, We Become

    What We Allow, We Become

    It’s not your time
    all the time.
    There is always
    a participant.

    You reap
    what you allow,
    receive
    what you give.

    Allow love,
    and love will touch you.
    Allow distance,
    and distance will grow.
    Allow harm,
    and wounds will follow.

    We think of ourselves,
    our reasons, our intentβ€”
    but thoughts spark senses,
    senses ignite emotions,
    and emotions shape the world.

    Trapped in our own design,
we see only our little box,
    blind to the truth,
    to the reality,
    to our own creation.

    Step back.
    Lift your head.
    Look at your garden.

Are the ones who love you
    smiling at you?
    Are you smiling at yourselfβ€”
    with forgiveness in your face
    and grace in your embrace?

    When you cause harm,
    you fail yourself,
    you lose your soul.
    A knife cuts
the hand that wields it first,
for a knife is only found
    in darkness.

    See what is.
How close are the deepest connections?

    Wisdom is ancient.
    Seek the old.
    The harmonious relationship
    is a story best told
by a teacher who has lived it,
to a curious mind that longs to knowβ€”
    the thoughts of the wise,
    the emotions of the youth.

    Be considerate.
    Be kind.
    Be gracious.
    Be whole.
    Be you connected to.

    May I be
    connected to.

  • Luminous Wisdom

    Luminous Wisdom

    When light bursts out,
    night runs away.
    Light wins, erases dark,
    But in shadows, memories stay.
    Marks where dark lived,
    Not gone, just deeper.

    The bright may show
    Where night’s veil once was,
    Walking prints left
    Before being undone.
As brighter truth shines in, open,
Less stuff is held in this world’s traps.

    You control the switch
    That lets light’s grace shine,
    When dark creeps back
    With its hidden fears,
Only a watchful soul can guard
    The small sun that’s near.

    Night hides not just
    What we can’t see,
But covers the self in shadow,
    Doubting what’s real.
    Turn light inside to
    Light up dark rooms,
    Clearing the dust that blinded
    With its gloom.

Always changing like sun and moon
    Are the lights and shades.
    What brightness showed
    Must sometimes in night fade,
    As new dawns of light
    Break through with their rays,
    From night’s deep paths,
    Heaven’s secret ways.

    Look too long at suns
    And blind your eyes.
    Through dark you might find
The balance that brings clear sight.
    Not just chasing any light,
But watching where its power lies,
Lest it burns to dead ends,
    Its force drained and dry.

In cycles of shadow and shine,
    We walk our souls’ ground,
    Each light a step
    On wisdom’s twisting road.
    Hold both light and dark,
For in their dance we grow,
    Opening old truths
    In the rise and fall.

  • The Spellbinding Sway of Belief

    The Spellbinding Sway of Belief

    Belief lives in
    The hearts and minds,
    Where it casts its spell.

    Its roots grow unseen,
And are fed by hopes and dreams.

    Belief bends the world,
    And makes the strong bow,
    With a soft shepherd’s call.

    Unseen yet deeply felt,
    Belief is a force
    That shapes and molds.

    It can sway souls.
    It can bend wills,
And lead each to their spot.

In giving in or standing strong,
    Belief leaves its diacritic.

    It echoes through time,
    Quiet and loud.

    Belief is a silent power,
    Both simple and deep.
