    Once Upon a Time

Time is our most precious gift—
    a true welcoming.
    I welcome you,
    and you welcome me.

    Time is an embrace,
    the quiet thread that connects.
    The author of context,
    of meaning.
    A dimension,
    a perspective—
    the perception born of imagination.

    Do not spend your time
    on what will not remain
    with you,
for as long as your consciousness
    breathes,
    you are.

    Choose—and simultaneously be chosen.
    The people, the moments,
    the story you share.
    Not because you are better,
    or more rare,
    but because your life
    is yours.
    And it matters.

    The peace of this awareness
    gives rise to wisdom:
    we are all equal.

    Only when all are free
    can one be free.

Bread breaks open in the oven.
And for every reason to despair,
    there are endless wonders
    waiting to unveil themselves
to those who keep their eyes—
    and hearts—open.

    Recall how fire sparks:
    a harmonious synchronicity
    of heart, mind, and soul.
    Two scratch one another,
    beneath the surface.

    Do not say,
“We could’ve had a wider field,”
or “We might’ve reached the horizon.”
    “I could’ve, I should’ve”
    Create it.
    Make it real.
    Be wholly, genuinely
    your amazed,
    curious,
    giving self.
    Hear the bells.

    Befriend a tree.
Be the gardener of one tree—
    and all that’s hidden
    shall be revealed.

    The secrets
    have always been there,
    patiently awaiting
    your arrival.

  • I Always Catch Up

    I Always Catch Up

    I kick my can,
    But I always catch up.

    I pick up my can,
I empty it and I kick my can,
    But I always catch up.

    I pick up my can,
I fill it and I kick my can,
    But I always catch up.

I kick my can into tomorrow,
But I always catch up today.

I kick my can, it’s dented now,
But I always catch up, somehow.

I kick my can in endless loops,
But I always catch up, in swoops.

I kick my can, my legs grow weary,
But I always catch up, theory and query.

I kick my can towards the stars,
But I always catch up, near and far.

I kick my can through seasons’ change,
But I always catch up, time’s range.

  • The Atemporal Door

    The Atemporal Door

    There is one way,
To slip past time’s relentless hold.
    Through light’s dimension,
We may attain an existence outside time.

    Untangled from all events’ chains,
That bind us to before-and-after pains,
    Touching light speed is
The liberating grace we dwell on.

An opening through which our souls could pass,
To break free of temporality’s grasp,
    And bask in the eternity.
